This research is focused on developing low cost wind and solar micropower generators and power servers for providing low power supplies (LPS) for domestic lighting, and powering of modern electronics and portable devices.
Our goal is to encourage domestic consumers to 'disconnect from the grid' everyday applications such as lighting, phone/mp3/gadget charging, and other consumer electronic devices. This has the potential to significantly reduce personal and domestic energy consumption as well as fuel bills.
The low cost and size of the micropower generators has the potential to significantly reduce the complexity and planning approvals for implementing installing renewable energy solutions.
