History

Moixa Energy Holdings was formed in 2005 as a spin-out from Moixa which pioneers advanced portable devices and interfaces. Moixa rethinks market axioms and creates new technology and holds a significant portfolio of Intellectual Property on next generation mobile devices which it commercializes through licensing, joint ventures or creating new ventures.

The Moixa founder previously invented and licensed PDA folding keyboard technology, which has been used on over 2m products,  and is currently licensed by Mobility Electronics - Nasdaq MOBE  for their Stowaway line of folding keyboards.

Many of the new portable devices and interfaces developed by Moixa require better power technology and solutions. This need triggered the creation of Moixa Energy Holdings as an investment and research vehicle for low power technology for consumers in the home and on the go.

In Q4 2005 the company created the battery technology subsidiary Moixa Energy Ltd, which received a £152k LDA Grant for Research and Development, and an angel investment of £675k in Q1 2006. The company developed and launched the award winning USBCELL battery category, launching initially into a test UK market and now scaling internationally. The company continues to develop and hold IPR over various advanced battery formats that self-charge, carry embedded intelligence for marketing, or data functions for phome/oem camera devices.

In 2010 the company created the Moixa Technology ltd - Home Energy Systems subsidiary to continue to develop and commercialized Moixa's ongoing technology/IP into home energy technologies, and has completed various investment and grant activities, and is currently leading trials of our technologies into homes.

Moixa Energy Holdings continues other research into energy efficient technologies, commercial/industrial energy technology and blue-sky R&D into long range technology.
