Moixa Energy Holdings is to present at the Library House - European CleanTech conference on 17th April (http://www.libraryhouse.net/cleantech/agenda/ ) where it will further outline low power developments for saving energy/emissions in homes and for better consumer battery technology.
In September 2006, Our Battery Subsidiary launched the USBCELL Battery category (www.usbcell.com ) as a new class of rechargeable batteries that save hassle/money and waste by being easier to recharge anywhere via a USB port. The AA USBCELL product is now available internationally to over 50 countries (Europe, North America, Australiz, Japan, Korea) and is stocked by leading highstreet retailers, such as at 500 Currys/PC World stores in the UK, and leading online sites, with announcements due shortly on increased retail availability in Australia, USA, Canada, and central Europe. A full range of USBCELL formats and custom versions for phones and portable devices is also in development.
Moixa Energy aims to have a significant impact in helping to reduce battery waste estimated at over 15 billion batteries manufactured - (causing C02 emissions and resource waste) and thrown away each year into landfill.
USBCELL has been commended as a finalist for best product design of 2006 (alongside the Apple Ipod Shuffle which won) by Design Week, and is also to appear in the D&AD 2007 Annual, as an example of leading product design. More news and recent coverage can be seen at http://www.usbcell.com/pr/5
